Is anyone else disapointed that Moondance went to 3 days? Less bands and still rising prices, although the less bands is the worst.

I think the word you're looking for is inflation. If you hadn't noticed, you pay more for less everywhere!!!!

If you had asked me this question at this time last year, I would have agreed with you. I thought this year was a clear step forward, in the music department. 2007 was my first Jam and while it was four full days of music, there were an awful lot of "tribute" bands sprinkled in there. Last year, I thought it was a step backwards as there were just as many tribute bands and a day less of music. This year, we had the tribute bands on Pre-Jam party day and nothing but solid bands for the next three days. Now they weren't all classic in my book, but then I'm almost 60 years old. They were classic bands to a lot of the people I got sh*t faced with, so that's good enough to fit the bill(I think).

That said, there is only one area that I think we get less and that's the camping. My first year, we got onto the campgrounds on Tuesday afternoon, now it's not until Wednesday so we're getting a full day less of camping and serious irresponsible drinking. I, for one, would love to see them go back to opening the grounds on Tuesday and keeping the music format as it is. Regardless of that, I think the music this year was a big improvement over last year and bodes well for future jams.
There are two kinds of people in this world, and I'm not one of them.

I would like them to open camping on the Saturday before, and charge something extra. Like a lot of Jammers, we take the whole week off anyway, and would enjoy camping those extra days.

Halfway Jam does it and it works out great. Even that other fest did it this year.

It would also make it easier to get some others to join us.

I know we would all like it to at least go back to Tuesday entry. They wouldn't even need to open the concert grounds or even have bands. Just let us hang in our campsites and visit others. The first day is so exhilarated & exhausting, I would love the extra time to just BE. I believe the first years they did Tuesday only the Lazy Moon was open and that was just fine. Not sure if we'd come on Saturday cuz we need a few days to get our sh^t together but if we could come a day or two early/extra that would be fantastic!

I agree! By the time we finish setting up camp on the Wednesday, it's time for the pre-jam party. It would be fun to be able to take the time to relax and go visit with all of our Moondance friends who we haven't seen in a while. I'd be willing to pay another $20 for another day of camping!
